UCP: Google Tag Gateway (GTG) and Consent Mode v2 Support
UCP now supports Google Tag Gateway (GTG) and Google Consent Mode v2, in line with Google’s 2026 CMP Partner Program requirements.
What’s new
- Consent Mode updates: UCP updates all six Google consent signals after every visitor choice, including Accept All, Reject All, Save Preferences, and IAB TCF Save Preferences.
- GTG signaling: UCP passes consent state to GTG after each consent decision.
-
Late consent detection: UCP warns in the browser console when Google tags load before consent is given and GTG isn’t in use. Diagnostics are available in
window.evidon.gtgDebug. -
Opt-out: Set
window.evidon.enableGoogleConsentSupport = falseto turn off Google consent handling, for example if another tool already manages Google Consent Mode.
What you need to do
If you use GTG or Google Tag Manager, follow our guide: Evidon Template Integration with Google Tag Manager, Google Consent Mode v2 and Google Tag Gateway (GTG).
