In August and September 2026 we will roll out the Merchandising Agent - an AI assistant built directly into Merchandising Studio to help your team get more from Fredhopper.

Merchandising Agent
- Answers configuration questions in plain language, so your merchandisers can self-serve instead of waiting on support
- Suggests smarter, more efficient ways to set up rules and campaigns
- Helps troubleshoot when something isn't behaving as expected
- Provides practical, step-by-step guidance for scenarios such as season launches and peak trading periods
The Merchandising Agent is free for all customers.
Rollout timeline
The feature is being rolled out in phases across August and September 2026 to selected customers only. Full release to all customers is expected in the first Fredhopper deployment of 2027.
You will receive a separate notification when your account is scheduled. Please note the rollout agenda may change.
What to expect during enablement
Enabling the Merchandising Agent involves a configuration change and a FAS reindex. During the reindex, Merchandising Studio will be temporarily inaccessible. The query service will not be interrupted and no service disruption is anticipated.
The duration of the reindex is expected to be similar to your nightly full reindex, though it may vary slightly. We are unable to provide an exact time or window in advance.
If you are part of the early adopter phases in August and Septemner, you will be notified on the day of your enablement via a Proactive Notification from Support, with the aim of giving 40 to 60 minutes advance notice before the reindex begins.

No action is required. If for any reason you have a preference for the rollout phase, please contact us via customer support channel.
