Why is this important?
To ensure Fredhopper rules continue to work effectively and the ingestion of commercial metrics & search keywords into Fredhopper continue without disruption, all customers must be migrated to Google Analytics (GA) version 4 by 1st July 2023. This migration will take time.
Initially, we asked all customers to provide the required information by 31st March; today, we are far beyond this date. At Attraqt, we will do all we can to complete the migration in time, but we need your support: customers should provide their details as soon as possible to master this challenge.
What we need from you
Urgently ask your Google Analytics Administrator/Owner to provide your GA credentials ASAP. To start the process, generate your GA v4 credentials and complete this short form with your name, email address, JSON file with your GA credentials, and profile IDs, and tell us if you are a GA360 customer for the relevant sites.
- Please flag to your CSM if you do not supply GA activity data to Fredhopper, and we will stop chasing you.
- Please do NOT delete your old GA UA tracking until you receive the go-ahead from the Attraqt team.
Are you using the GA 360 UA?
If so, you have more time than until the migration deadline of 1st July 2023.
- Please flag if you are a GA 360 customer for the relevant sites, and we will stop chasing you for credentials.
Your current integration will continue to function normally. However, switching to GA4 could result in improved data quality. If you wish to migrate before 1st July 2024, please let us know you are on GA 360 and provide your credentials as described in the link above.
Note: The Google Analytics Universal Analytics to GA4 migration only affects customers using GA AND providing their GA data via Attraqt's Aproxy service. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your Customer Success Manager.
What happens in case of late migration?
A late migration will result in the analytics data from the last successful download from GA Universal Analytics being used in rankings and other rules until a migration or alternative has been implemented. The last successful feed from Google Analytics would be stored on the Fredhopper side in a backup to be used each day until the migration or alternative data source is available. This will quickly become outdated.
The migration will take multiple days per customer. Therefore, please provide your GA credentials as soon as possible.
