23.4.0 - Fredhopper Discovery Platform Release Notes

Introduction 

These release notes provide an overview of the resolved issues and improvements of the most recent release of the Fredhopper Discovery Platform 23.4 line.

Fredhopper Discovery Platform 23.4 is a major release. The Query and Data APIs in this version are backward compatible with all versions from Fredhopper Discovery Platform 7.5.x to 23.4.y. The Configuration API is backward compatible with all Fredhopper Discovery Platform versions until 23.4.y.

Fredhopper Discovery Platform 23.4 supports Oracle Java 8 VMs. For detailed setup instructions, please refer to Install Java instructions.

Improvements & Resolved Issues

Merchandising Studio & Preview Pages

[New] Introduced a new enhancement to the Preview Pages: a user-friendly widget that simplifies the selection process of A/B test cases. With this widget, you can manage your A/B tests and effortlessly select the desired test cases within Preview Pages.

[Improved] Ability to select A/B test variants in Preview Pages when running on the indexer via the fh_abtests param. If no variant is selected, the first variant will be selected. This feature only runs on the indexer when reporting is enabled.

[Improved] Search A/B tests supported on Preview Pages and on A/B test widget.

[Improved] Updated UI elements for the Triggers Panel to be consistent with the design of the new A/B test widget.

[Improved] Links for A/B test entities in Preview Pages now point to the correct A/B test resource in the Merchandising Studio. Notifications on the Preview Page for triggered modifications displays the name of the modification and a link to A/B test in the Merchandising Studio.

[Improved] The scopes management page (System > Management > Scopes manager) is redesigned and modernized. Now it is possible to create child scope directly form the scopes tree.

[Improved] Overflowing buttons in Visual Merchandising are not allowed anymore.

[Fixed] The list of publications in the publications' history is updated correctly again with the newly created publications.

[Fixed] Fixed dynamic facet values for attributes of type int.
