The Benchmarking Insights feature allows you to visualize where and how you can improve your benchmarking scores across the Accessibility, SEO, and Usability categories.

This feature provides color-coded graphs that you can view to track the overall health of improvement opportunities, and an interactive planner that creates a tailor-made plan targeting specific checkpoints you wish to address.

Using Benchmarking Insights

To access Benchmarking Insights, click the Benchmarking Insights feature from the left-hand menu.

From the Viewing: drop-down, select the website you wish to run Benchmarking Insights on.

Note: Like other website insight pages, DQM will display information for the last website selected and allow you to switch websites here.

Scorecards

The top of the page displays the following scorecards: Accessibility, SEO, and Usability. Each scorecard displays real-time information based on a green, amber, red color-coded system. Where possible displays how many issues you need to fix to reach the next color band. 

See how your fixes improve your score

Use the See how fixes improve your score tool to dynamically view how fixing issues directly affect your Accessibility, SEO, and Usability scorecards above.

Click on Accessibility, SEO, or Usability tabs to view a graph that charts issues to fix against resulting score. Use the information in the side panel to improve your understanding of the scoring system.

Effort to next band

This widget displays the number of fixes you need to address to reach the next band. 

Template issues

This widget displays any issue(s) impacting a template. When an impacted checkpoint has an issue on every page, the problem is likely coming from a shared template or component. Fixing these kinds of issues updates every page that uses it, making it one of the most effective ways to improve your website.

Note: Template issues only appear if there are checkpoints impacting templates. DQM will include a line on the chart to illustrate the effect on the score of fixing all template issues.

Projected score

Click and drag the slider in the Projected Score widget to see how your score changes if you solve website issues. The information in the chart will update in real time as you adjust the slider. You can alternatively click the percentage buttons at the bottom to quickly determine a specific issue number.

Build your plan

At the bottom of the page, you can use the Build your plan tool by selecting the checkboxes next to the specific checkpoints you wish to focus on improving your website.

Once you've added checkpoints to your plan, you will see what score you'll achieve by fixing all the issues listed. You can modify your commitments for individual checkpoints to fine tune your plan. Projected scores will update every change.

Click Clear plan to start over. Alternatively, you can manually deselect or select different checkpoints in the list to build a different plan.
