Fredhopper Discovery Platform 26.8.0 is fully compatible with the previous release, FAS 26.5.0.

No special actions are required when upgrading from FAS 26.5.0 to FAS 26.8.0.

AI search component extension

To enable the AI search pass to retrieve and render product variants in results, version 4.1 of the ai-search-component extension must be supplied to FAS.

Warning: The ai-search-component extension version 4.1 is not compatible with FAS 26.5.0 (or older versions). If a downgrade from FAS 26.8.0 to FAS 26.5.0 is required, the ai-search-component extension must also be downgraded to version 4.0.
