The Fredhopper Merchandising Agent is rolled out in phases starting August 2026.
We would appreciate your feedback to improve your experience with the Merchandising Agent.
The Merchandising Agent is a conversational AI assistant built into Fredhopper Merchandising Studio. It's designed to help you configure, troubleshoot, and optimize your merchandising strategies.
Ask it a question in plain language and it responds with practical, best-practice guidance based on Rezolve AI product documentation.
Why use the Merchandising Agent?
The Merchandising Agent helps you move faster and work more independently. It's particularly useful if you:
- Are new to Fredhopper and are looking for contextual, in-product guidance.
- Want to configure or improve business rules without knowing Fredhopper rule logic in depth.
- Need a quick answer to a configuration or troubleshooting question without waiting for support.
Note: The Merchandising Agent is available directly in the Merchandising Studio. No setup is required.
How to use the Merchandising Agent
Just open the Agent by clicking the chat icon in Merchandising Studio. Type your question in plain language and the Agent will respond with guidance, recommendations, or step-by-step instructions.
Use cases
- Consult the Merchandising Agent when you are setting up or adjusting rules, e.g.:
- "How do I exclude out-of-stock products from appearing in search results?"
- Use the Agent to discover better approaches, e.g.:
- "What are best practices for structuring category-level ranking rules across a large catalog?"
-
Troubleshoot with the help of the Merchandising Agent, e.g.:
- "I set up a redirect rule but it's not triggering. What are common reasons this might fail?"
- Ask the Agent for tactical guidance when preparing for a specific business event, e.g.:
- "We're launching a new season collection next week. What merchandising changes should I make and in what order?"
Limitations
The Merchandising Agent is designed to answer best-practice and configuration questions. It has some limitations you should be aware of:
- No access to your data: It doesn't have visibility into your specific Merchandising Studio setup, business rules, or Fredhopper Insights performance data.
- No live analytics: It can't analyze the historical performance of a specific rule or recommend changes based on your KPI data.
- No support ticket creation: It can't raise a support ticket on your behalf; use the standard support process for issues that need investigation.
- No memory between sessions: The agent doesn't retain context from previous chats, i.e. has no memory; your current conversation is available for as long as your browser session is active, but will not be retained when you start a new one.
If you need help with something the Agent can't answer, raise a support ticket.
Data and Privacy
The Merchandising Agent is powered by a third-party large language model (LLM). Text you enter into the chat is processed by an external AI provider.
- Don't enter personally identifiable information, confidential business data, or sensitive commercial details into the chat
- Conversations are not stored between browser sessions. Each session starts fresh with no memory of conversations had in previous browser sessions.
- Some data may be retained for monitoring, troubleshooting, and product improvement purposes.
Share your feedback
The Merchandising Agent is currently in beta and your feedback helps us improve it. There are two ways to share it:
- In-product: Use the like/dislike buttons after each Agent response. This is the preferred method, as it ties your feedback directly to a specific answer.
- Via your CSM or Support team: Contact your Customer Success Manager or Support for more detailed or qualitative feedback you'd like to share with the product team.
