How to configure Shop The Look in XO

Shop the Look (STL) is an AI-powered recommendation feature that identifies garments worn by a model in a product image and recommends complementary items to complete the look. In XO, STL is available as a standard recommendation algorithm. You can add it to a new or existing widget and can optionally combine it with XO's filtering and merchandising capabilities.

Note: Shop the Look must be enabled on your environment by the AI team before it appears as an algorithm option in the XO Console. If you cannot see it, contact your Customer Success Manager.

To configure STL in your XO Console: 

1. In the XO Console, navigate to Merchandising. 
2. Either click Add a widget and select Advanced Widget Creation to create a new widget.
   Alternatively: Open an existing widget by clicking on the entry in the list.
3. On the Create widget screen, fill in the necessary details in the General information tab.
4. Navigate to the Merchandising tab and add a distribution.

Important: The number of items added to the distribution defines the number of recommended items shown for STL in your storefront.

5. Scroll down to Specific rules and either create a new rule by clicking Add a specific rule or select an existing rule from the list.
6. Navigate to the Merchandising tab for the selected rule, then select the Algorithm tab.
   
7. Click Add a strategy.
   → The Add a strategy dialog opens.
8. Under Strategy name, select Shop the Look. Under Source item, select Product ID.
   
9. Optional: To exclude certain products from STL recommendations, go to your rule's Merchandising tab and select Filters. Under Excluded tags add tags that represent products that should not be recommended as part of the strategy, e.g. out-of-stock products.
10. Optional: To set a number of minimum items to display the recommendation, navigate to the General information tab for your widget and set the minimum number of items under Display conditions > Minimum items needed to display recommendations. If STL returns fewer items than the number defined here, the widget will not be displayed on the storefront.
