Suppress validation rules with scope release via API

Hi community,

is it possible to suppress the validation during release via API?

Background: we want to enforce editors to enter some data before release should be possible. But when an automatic process performs the release via API we do not want to enforce this data.

  Hello Heiko,

  as far as I know, it is not possible to release a node without validation.
  At least not with reasonable effort. In theory it is possible to disable the validation for each language, then release and then reactivate the validation. BUT the risk is far too high. Apart from the fact that problems can occur with simultaneous accesses (and so a user can release a node without a validation), there is always the risk that the reset will not work and validation will then be permanently deactivated. In this respect, I strongly advise against such nonsense and would instead ask you to submit a corresponding feature request if the function is important to you: https://firstspirit-portal.crownpeak.com/
