Java 8 und FirstSpirit 5

Inwieweit ist FirstSpirit 5 mit Java 8 kompatibel? Hat jemand schon bzgl. Java 8 und FirstSpirit 5 Erfahrungen gemacht?

As with the current official announcement of Oracle regarding their support expiry for public Java 7 updates in April 2015 (details see http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/eol-135779.html) it would be really interesting to share e-Spirit's strategy with their customers to avoid the same escalation occurred during the former Java 6/7 switch.
According to the "Technical FirstSpirit datasheet for FS 5.1", FirstSpirit does currently only support the following Oracle JVM versions for:
- FirstSpirit SiteArchitect/ServerManager
- Oracle Java JRE 6/7
- FirstSpirit Server
- Oracle Java JDK 6 update >=32, Oracle Java JDK 7
Please answer the following questions:
- do customers have to buy commercial licenses to get further (security) updates for Java 7 as FirstSpirit will not be ready for Java 8 in April 2015?
- when will FirstSpirit provide Java 8 support officially?
- which functions do not work when using Java 8 on server- and client-side in combination with FirstSpirit 5.x? (is there a public list available containing all functions not working with Java 8 - maybe share here within the FirstSpirit Commuity?)

laut den Releasenotes wird Java 8 für FirstSpirit 5 nicht unterstützt. (Siehe Kap. 3.5 in der Releasenotes.)

Hallo,
nein, das ist nicht absehbar. Ich kann da nur jeweils einen Blick ins technische Datenblatt bzw. die Releasenotes empfehlen, sobald eine neue FirstSpirit-Version released wurde. Dort wird die unterstützte Java-Version jeweils angegeben.

Ein kleiner Nachtrag, um Missverständnisse zu vermeiden:
Mit "nicht absehbar" wollte ich nicht ausdrücken, dass wir uns nicht mit dem Thema beschäftigen.
Natürlich ist dies ein Punkt unserer Agenda. Die dafür notwendigen Schritte und der damit verbundene Aufwand sind jedoch noch nicht erfasst.
Daher ist zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt noch keine genaue(re) Aussage möglich.
