CIDP Items API: Migration to batch updates

Crownpeak continues to stream upgdates using the streaming Items API throughout the day. However, overnight full feeds will be batched to ensure they are processed is the most efficient way possible using the batch Items API.

Batch updates provide the following benefits:

• No additional load on the system and resulting mitigation of potential bottlenecks as the system is able to easily handle even large feeds received
• Termination of batches if the item validation error rate is above the provided threshold or if batches are smaller than defined threshold
• Ingestion of the same batch in different catalogues without resending all items
• Creation of a batch that replaces all items of a type in a catalogue
• Improved response time
• More reactive auto-scaling
• Low error-rate
• Guaranteed processing of items that have been sent to batch Items API
