Before sending a ranking rule for publication, you might want to verify that it works as expected.
Activate or deactivate the ranking rule
Activate or deactivate a ranking rule to test how it affects lister pages, other rules, and your merchandising strategy.
By default, when you create a ranking rule, it is active and Fredhopper applies it when its triggers are met. A green icon in the list of ranking rules shows that the rule is active.
If you want to disable a ranking rule for a limited time, you can deactivate it. When a rule is inactive, it remains in the list of current rankings. Its priority remains unchanged and Fredhopper does not apply it even if its triggers are met. A red icon in the list of ranking rules shows that the rule is inactive.
To deactivate a Ranking Rule, simply click Deactivate and then click Save.
