20.3 - Fredhopper Access Server Release Notes

Introduction

These release notes provide an overview of the resolved issues and improvements
of the most recent release of the FAS 20.3 line.

FAS 20.3 supports Oracle Java 8 VMs. For detailed setup instructions please
refer to the Fredhopper Learning Center.

Version 20.3.1 - A hotfix over FAS 20.3.0 Release Notes

Release Date: November 5, 2020

FAS 20.3.1 is a maintenance release that introduces a hotfix to a JDK issue
and extends the capability of FAS to use novel internal services.

Version 20.3.0

Release Date: August 25, 2020

FAS 20.3 is a major release. The Query and Data APIs in this version are
backwards compatible with versions FAS 7.5.x, 8.x.y., 19.x.y and 20.x.y. The
Configuration API is backwards compatible with FAS 8.x.y, 19.x.y. and 20.x.y

Highlights of the release are the ability to differentiate between Merchandising
Studios, custom triggers in Visual Merchandising and UI improvements.

Improvements & Resolved Issues

Merchandising Studio & Preview Pages

[New] It is now possible to use conflated attributes within variant universe
connection settings in System tab.

[Improved] Enhanced support for A/B tests. Performance is optimized. New system.xml
property that hides triggers unsupported by the new A/B tests filtering mechanism
from the A/B tests edit page in Merchandising Studio.

[Improved] Role dependencies are removed when deleting a scope.

[Fixed] Session expiration caused inability to make modifications in MS.

[Fixed] When a conflated attribute is used to control ranking, the attribute gets
conflated correctly to the existing attribute.

Visual Merchandising Interface

[New] It is now possible to select groups of items in Visual Merchandising
Interface to apply bulk actions to items for Result Modifications modeling.
