Installing FirstSpirit 5 on Linux

I know eSpirit actively supports installations of FirstSpirit on the Linux Red Hat version 5.x but my question is; is it advisable to install FirstSpirit 5 on a Red Hat Linux 5.x distribution or is it more advised to use Red Hat Linux version 6.x? In other words, are there any known issues when installing on version the 5.x distribution we should take into account when using this version?
