Copy marked text from DOM field into anchor text of a link

Hi FS community,

our editors complain about a missing feature that they claim has worked in the past (before FS 2024.3 ?):

Imagine a DOM input field, you select a text, they expect the text to be copied into the link text when they press the "insert link" button.

Hope you can help me.

  Hi Heiko,

  usually that should work. But the link template has to be configured accordingly using the „Link text“ setting in its properties tab, see here.

  Maybe it’s a new link template and someone forgot that setting?

  Hi Michael, thanks for the hint, some developer refactored the template but really forgot to set this. The old field was still there, but hidden, this is what I missed.
