Introduction
These release notes provide an overview of the resolved issues and improvements of the most recent release of the FAS 22.1 line.
FAS 22.1 supports Oracle Java 8 VMs. For detailed setup instructions, please refer to Install Java instructions.

FAS 22.1 is a major release. The Query and Data APIs in this version are backwards compatible with versions FAS 7.5.x, 8.x.y., 19.x.y, 20.x.y., and 21.x.y. The Configuration API is backwards compatible with FAS 8.x.y, 19.x.y, 20.x.y, and 21.x.y.
The main highlight of this release is the improved Navigation index pages and added support for slider facets.
Improvements & Resolved Issues
Merchandising Studio & Preview Pages
[Improved] Navigation index attribute page was re-designed and re-written, with some new added, such as bulk activation/deactivation of attributes in triggerable entities. Conflation attributes have been added as well. An additional column has been added for attributes scheduled for an update in the navigation index. This is updated after saving the page and provides sorting so that they can be reviewed before the next reindex.

[New] Added support for displaying slider facets in Preview Pages.
[New] Added slider facet configuration in Merchandising Studio.
[Fixed] All items are shown when selecting colour variants for handpicked campaigns.

Visual Merchandising Interface
[New] Added slider support for facets in VM.
[Fixed] Error when clicking on viewing product details in VM.
Search & Navigation
[New] Added slider support for facets configuration. Now a slider facet can be created and can be used to display a slider in the UI. The slider can be used only for numeric attributes.
[Fixed] Certain locations for facets were breaking when a long list of product IDs were specified in the query.
[Fixed] Facets on the attribute type Set are returned precisely when configured as lateral "on/off".
